Don't call me a Grandma, but I love sewing! I've sewn a whole bunch of things from clothes for my Son, to toys, gifts, accessories and even Christmas stockings. What can I say? I was home-schooled as a child lol! Lately I've been creating a few different things, for my my Son in particular. He'll be 1 in May, and I have too many ideas running through my head that I can't seem to settle for just one sometimes. My love and inspiration comes from books, online and through friends and family. I hate using patterns as I prefer to make from scratch but I'm always open to new tools.
Right now, hand sewing is wonderful! Though hand-sewing is very relaxing, there is much more effort involved, and can be time consuming but it gives me much more joy than using a sewing machine. Though I don't have a lot of time, it's always easy to pick up where you left off in sewing! I highly recommend these books if ever you're interested in sewing things for your children or babies.
