Here are some travel tips for various destinations I can recommend! I'll add one every fortnight!
Though I love traveling to countries and places, nothing beats actually living in another country or place. Experiencing the culture, the language, the pretty shops lining the banks of the River, diving into the culture and learning the language, that to me is what travelling is all about-waking up to something new every day.
Vancouver, Canada
Thailand
Wow, what can I say about Thailand that I haven't said already? It's beautiful. I've lived and traveled throughout Thailand for over a year, having worked in villages and undergone life changing experiences. It's culture is beautiful, its people are beautiful, its King is beautiful.

Vancouver, Canada
We lived just over an hours drive from Vancouver, Canada. It was truly wonderful visiting! I kept telling my Husband that we need to come back! It reminded me most of Sydney, for its plastic currency and metric system. Gorgeous country with views to die for!
5 Travel Tips
#1- Arriving:- If arriving my land, sea or air, remember all your documents! I can't stress this enough! Though you might be an American Citizen, like anything and everything, you still need ID.
#2-Walking and Public Transport:- A daily ticket will get you everything from ferry, bus and even train fares for a whole day. Walking tours are readily available but if you're anything like me and my Husband planning your own trip is the most adventurous!
#3- Places:- Visit Lonsdale Quay Market and Grandville Island Market for beautiful hand made crafts and souvenirs. A stroll through Gastown is a must, along with the scenic views you'll encounter at Stanley Park.
#4-Brunch?- Best Breakfast place would be Milestone's at English Bay. Gorgeous views, lovely meals and top notch service!
#5- Parking- If you're taking your car, driving there, try to go there on a Weekend as parking rates are much lower and for some reason, very central and quiet around this time of the week.

5 Travel Tips
#1- Don't go alone. Though it is more than possible to enjoy yourself alone, I suggest going with a friend or partner. You can check smartraveller.gov for info on the places and their threat status. While Thailand is the 'land of smiles', it can too be very dangerous.
#2- Keep personal belongings close to you. Some pick pocketers target foreigners fiercely. Just be careful where you leave your belongings and keep a close eye on everything.
#3-You must try a Tuk Tuk for transportation. Usually referred to as an expensive type of transport, a ride in one of these is still a must! You'll have the best fun!
#4-Street markets are definitely a must! You can't say you've experienced Thailand if you haven't visited one. Try the Chatuchak Markets if you're in Bangkok! Shoppers heaven and wonderful souvenirs!
#5- Real Silk or Fake? Thailand is known for its beautiful silk products, authentic and just gorgeous! If you're out to buy real silk, take special heed to what is real and what is fake. It's hard to determine, but read up on the ways in which you can really determine if it's genuine or not before purchasing something that isn't worth your money. "A simple way to identify authentic Thai silk is the "wedding ring" test. When you attempt to pull a yard or two of Thai silk fabric through a wedding ring, it will ease through and will show you just how smooth and flexible it is as a fabric. However, the same cannot be said for imitation fabrics as they will crunch up and be very difficult or even impossible to pull through a wedding ring."

Washington D.C
I spent a week in Washington D.C. Its most probably the cleanest, most tidiest capital city I have ever been to. Not only was it clean and tidy but it was filled with so much history, it was overwhelming. As a big fan of Lincoln, I especially loved visiting the Lincoln memorial most of all!
5 travel tips
#1- Walking- everything (well mostly everything) is accessible through walking. Walk to the Whitehouse, the Lincoln memorial and the Capitol. It's just that easy! If you aren't a walker, you can hire a segway, or a bike (though some areas are pedestrian only).
#2-Pack a Picnic- here I go again with picnics, but it's perfect for your trip to D.C. There's a huge stretch of green where everyone picnics, you'll know what the stretch of green is when you go there, it's obvious.
#3- Travel time- visit preferably just a little before the Summer rush. This place can get packed to the rim, as you can imagine!
#4- Photography- Some places you are prohibited to photograph. Check before hand and be respectful of these signs, they're there for a reason ;)
#5- Food- there are a lot of fine dining restaurants in D.C. So be sure to pack your cocktail dress for a nice romantic dinner out.

NY: Statue of Liberty
It has been some time since I visited the Statue of Liberty last but one thing has never changed and that is, transport! Its mighty green drawing the eye to the sea with its torch held high welcomes you as you arrive.5 travel tips
#1- Subway- you must catch the subway. While taxis are everywhere and tempting you to ride them, sometimes it's not always fast and cheap. Jump on a subway train and you'll be at Bowling Green in no time.Take a brisk short walk to the ferry terminal, where you can't miss it and you're there in quite a long line waiting to board to meet the Lady.
#2-Pre-paid- this saves alot of time, and makes the line even shorter. So be sure to book prior to your trip to the Lady, trust me!
#3- Lunch- unless you want to buy value meals for not great value (usually 25% more than regular price for a meal) then pack your own, picnic on the green and enjoy the scenery.
#4- Gift shop!- I strongly suggest picking up a souvenir. Pay close attention to where they are main and if they're genuine. You don't want something that is fake or made abroad. The Gift shop on Liberty Island is wonderful for some genuine souvenirs!
#5-When to go. Summer is always very busy, Winter, it's closed from time to time. So plan sometime in between when it's quite.
